Strandvägen in Stockholm is a wealthy
residential street along the harbor and there is a Strand Hotel near Interlaken Switzerland. There are 5 Strands in Amsterdam,
and Strands in Myrtle Beach SC, Galveston TX, and Venice CA.
Daphne Du Maurier's book "The House on the Strand" is a time travel book.
It "concerns a young man's experiments with hallucinogenic drugs and his travels
back and forth to a house on the Cornish coast in the 14th century". I liked it. Goodread rates it 3.8/5.
