Hallelujah Flashmob in New Castle

There will be an outdoor flashmob of the Hallelujah Chorus on Saturday December 10, 2016 at approximately 12:30 on the Courthouse Square in New Castle.

It will be just after the first performance of Dickens Christmas Carol (also outside the Courthouse). Singers will be grouped by part and should be present during the play.

It is all part of the joint Spirit of Christmas (New Castle Presbyterian Church) and Dickens Faire (New Castle Historical Society).

There will be one optional rehearsal at 11 on that Saturday morning on the Green between the courthouse and Immanuel Church. Not required, but it would help.

The available BBC score may or may not match any score you have. Probably good to use this pdf. The one modification to the pdf is based on the 49 million view youtube version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXh7JR9oKVE) in a food court some years ago:

The first four measures of Hallelujah are for a soprano soloist (Anne Marie Dupre), the second four measures for a base soloist (Martin Hargrove) After that everyone sings as written.

Please let me know if you are planning to sing. BTW, parking may be a challenge At 10:30 it should not be a problem, especially if you park on the streets in the east end of town, especially near Chestnut Street and 2nd or The Strand. Any other questions, please ask.

At the moment (11/26/2016), 40 singers are confirmed, but more would be welcome!
