The Hermitage Natural Area

Flowers and grasses planted in the meadow of the Hermitage Natural Area

The meadow was created using seed from the Enst Seed Co.
The goal was to have a pollinator meadow using native seeds and grasses.
Fifty or so were chosen of the many available based on compatibility with the area soil, height, and cost.
Of the 50 planted, 35 or so species appeared and flowered. Others may have sprouted but been eaten by the deer
